This Series is a visual representation of breaking the chains of oppression and within modern day black society
It will be inspired throughout the phrase “oppressors will never willingly give you freedom, the oppressed must demand it”
As an artist through many platforms, my poetry, painting and photography I believe that representation is everything within my culture and personal journey. This will be an ode to pushing the limit on being a creative activist. This project is dedicated to the beautiful people in my life that work hard every day to not be another statistic. Each one of my subjects take pride in their character and personal journeys.
